Ah, the perfect excuse to over eat, Brunch! One of my favorite things to do is go to brunch because it usually means lots of food and often bottomless mimosas. Brunch reminds me of the all you can eat breakfast you get at many all-inclusive resorts, so mentally I am on vacation.
I recommend making a reservation if you are going to dine at Duke’s. The proximity to the beach attracts sooo many people especially over the weekend. When we went there were groups and groups of people waiting in the lobby and outside. Thankfully I followed my instinct and made a resy. Try to get a seat close to a window, so you can enjoy the ocean view. Once you are settled and order your drink head over to the buffet. I tried to make a plate that made sense, but I wanted everything. So waffles, French toast, salmon, rice, eggs, and fruit it was! I know, that made my stomach hurt too when I read it. But it hit the spot.
I like doing small things to trick myself into thinking I’m on vacation. The best way for me to do this is to try somehing new. There is so much out there waiting to be discovered that can enrich our lives and our palates.
Ok, time to hit the gym.
What is something new you’ve done to escape the day to day? Sharing is caring!
